6.3.11

"live between divine pardon and your own torment."
- Theophanes the Greek, Andrei Rublev (Tarkovsky, 1966)

God is merciful and, surely can forgive my transgressions and anger.
If Christ can die for the sins of all mankind, I can suffer towards helping one person.
In as much as I love, surely I can suffer in the work of salvation.

"But when he knows that he is not only worse than all those in the world, but is also guilty before all people, on behalf of all and for all, for all human sins, the world's and each person's, only then will the goal of our unity be achieved. [...] Only then will our hearts be moved to a love that is infinite, universal, and knows no satiety."- Fyodor Dostoevsky, The Brothers Karamazov (4.1.2)
